For most of us reading this, clean clothes, food, and shelter are life essentials we take for granted. Either because of apathy, lack of understanding, or too many other pressing issues that face us, we often ignore those voices in need. We’re talking of course about those on the street; the homeless.

For Kat Armstrong, who writes a blog called Kat’s Corner, and also serves as a community manager, ghostwriter, and social media expert for many clients, this is the frightening predicament she faces. Armstrong is a recent Piryx customer trying to raise funds to overcome those obstacles. In a recent blog post, she candidly captures the struggles of a hard-working grandmother trying to provide for her kids and grand kids. Due to unforeseen circumstances that forced her to miss twelve days of work, she’s facing the very real possibility of being put out in the street. You can read more about her story here.
